To her disbelief, the whole story of her life had just vanished in an instant after she changed. Helen wasn't the daughter (or son) to anyone anymore, nor did anyone recognize her. In some way it of course made sense, she'd become a girl nobody has seen before. But nevertheless, that meant her previous friends wouldn't show any recognition to at least her personality. That's still the same after all.
However, Helen could alter the reality around her. This meant that her body wouldn't change, while the rest of the world did. She was looking through the settings and options on the Chronivac, as she came across a command that said "Recreate storyline". She already concluded out of this that it'd mean she was able to make her own relations to the rest of the world again. How this command worked however, still needed to be explained.
"A life can be changed easily with 'recreate storyline' option, as its main goal is to alter the reality you are in by automatically altering it as you advance. If you want someone to be your friend, just approach them and talk friendly to them, and this option will automatically render it for you, thus altering reality around you. With this option you won't be able to change your own personality however, it will only alter your family tree if you'd like to, or create new contacts in social life. It's also able to change where you live, how much you earn, who is the new president of the US, you call it!"
This option appealed Helen. University was about to start again, and she wouldn't be allowed to enter, as nothing proved that she was actually a member of it. With this command, she was also able to make new friends much easier than originally, more clearer she could make friends in an instant.
As Helen clicked on the icon, the computer immediately began to act up. It was already working, apparently. Testing it out, she reached for an already finished drawing, and spoke: "Let's start drawing something new again." Once she laid the paper in front of her, it was completely blank, confirming what the option said about itself, obviously it worked. She wanted to go to sleep now, as it 'already was evening'. Looking outside of the window to the right of her desk, it had indeed gotten darker. Tomorrow would be a new day again, the first of going to university. After getting ready for bed, she lied down, and fell asleep quickly, her last thought being that she 'set her alarm on 6:30 in the morning'.
