While the Detectives were busy looking for any trace of Dymixious at the harbor, Tom Herald had left for his day at work writing the article about the Seahawk's practices. On any other day, he wouldn't have any reason to be cheery when he wrote a sports article, yet today, it was like he was a completely different person. But who could really blame him? The past few days had been incredible for him. He'd become a werefox and became engaged to the love of his life! How could he not be happy?
As Tom sat in his cubicle, typing the article on his laptop, he was unaware that one of his coworkers had noticed how cheerful he was. The coworker was a man by the name of Victor Helsing. He was a year or two younger than Tom, and he was one of Tom's good friends. He knew how much Tom hated writing articles on sports, so Victor was caught off guard when he heard Tom humming happily from his cubicle as he worked; something Tom never did while working.
Curiosity was beginning to kill him, so eventually, Victor knocked on the wall of Tom's cubicle to get his attention.
"Morning Tom," he said. "What's got you in such a cheerful mood this morning?"
Tom turned in his chair to look back at his coworker. "Morning Victor!" he said happily. "I'm just so happy because I finally met the right woman for me!"
"That's what you said about your past wives Tom," Victor said. "I'm happy that you've started dating again, but I must ask: what makes you so sure she's the 'right one'?"
"She's special, Victor," Tom said. "I'll have to introduce you to her sometime."
"Alright then," Victor said, walking back to his own cubicle to resume his own work. Still, Victor couldn't help but be curious about who this woman was and why Tom was so happy with her.
