"Look over here," one of your friends say as they run off into the crowded carnival. You try to follow after him, ducking and weaving through the carnival goers, clowns and carnies, chasing after him until you find yourself smacking straight into a booth with a resounding *Thud*. A loud laughter fills your ears."I appreciate your hustle little one," a deep, scottish voice calls out to you. You look up, rubbing your head, and a tall, muscular man with thick red hair and long beard, dressed in an old ragged t-shirt and jeans. "Care to play for the prize?" You look up at the sign above you, "The Anthronator," painted on a big piece of plywood in deep green sloppy lettering, decorated with crudely drawn trees along the edges. You glance back at the carnie, "how do I play?" You ask him.
"Real simple lad, just spin the wheel and land on the golden space to win. Your prize is $25 for low stakes game, $50 for medium stakes and $100 for high stake games. Any space other than the gold one is a dud and well..." his voice trails off. "$5 to play, are you in, little one?"
You look over the counter at the large plastic, multicolored wheel. "You're pretty lucky, this going to be easy," you think to yourself. "Yeah, i'll go a round," you say tossing your money on the counter.
"What stakes lad?" He says pointing up at the plastic sign behind him. On it there's a three dark blue, silhouette drawings, one of a human with large pointed ears and a tail, the label "low stakes," written above it. The next is of a werewolf creature standing straight up, another label reading "medium stakes," is written beneath it. Finally there's the last drawing, one of a regular wolf on all fours, the words "high stakes" are written just below it. You pause for a moment, deep in thought and tell the Scotsman your decision.
