Tad and Amy arrived at the high school gym a few minutes after the dance began. When they stepped inside, they saw that the gym had been decorated with Halloween decorations. A DJ was playing the music that was coming through the speakers located throughout the gym. There were various disco lights scattered across the room, projecting beams of light on the walls, floor, and ceiling that spun around every now and then. Students were in the middle of the gym, dancing with each other and having a good time.
"They really went all out this year," Amy said, smiling. "What do you think Tad?" Tad nodded in agreement. "It's really nice," he said. "I've been to school dances before, but none of them were as all out as this one."
"Halloween is kind of a big deal to the students at the high school," Amy said. "Since one of the main things of Halloween is Trick-or-Treating and we can't do that anymore, the school decided to give the high school students something fun to do while the younger kids go Trick-or-Treating."
"That's cool," Tad said. Just then, the song changed to a slow song. "Alright ladies and gentlemen," the DJ said through the mic, "We're going to play our first slow song of the night. If you've got a special someone to dance with, take their hands and enjoy yourselves."
Tad looked at Amy and held out his hand. "Shall we?" he asked. She blushed and took his hands as the two walked onto the dance floor with everyone else who was there.
