Ally placed her hands on her hips as she looked at her reflection. After about fifteen seconds she noticed that her normally pale face was turning a slight but unmistakable shade of pink. An examination of her body confirmed her entire skin was changing color. The next thirty seconds her skin turned from pinkish-white to olive colored. At the same time her hair changed from golden blonde to raven black, and her eyes from blue to dark brown. A minute after the change started Ally’s face resembled that of a girl from Latin America or the Mediterranean. Just as Ally was starting to get used to her new look, her skin continued to change from olive to light brown. Within a minute and a half her skin was medium brown. During the last thirty seconds her skin turned to dark brown and finally to black.
When it was all over, Ally looked at her reflection in astonishment. “Oh, goodness” she whispered to herself. “What have I done?” In just two minutes she went from a blonde-haired blue-eyed white girl to an African beauty. She went back to the computer and read her revised stats.
