"Okay," Karyn said, taking out two more pieces of paper. "Write down your wish on this piece of paper. The first one to say the word loses. The winner gets a free wish afterward."
Jon nodded. He was actually excited to use the rock, now that there was a fail safe. He thought for a minute what he could do to Karyn. Pain was out of the question, so he would have to settle on embarrassment. A small smile crept on his face as he wrote something down.
"I'm ready," Jon said, as he flipped his paper upside down.
"Me too," Karyn said. "Judging by your expression, this should be interesting." She picked up the rock. "I wish the wishes on these papers would activate and no one will be able to make a wish until 'gumdrop' is said."
Jon felt the world spin around him as he fell to the floor. Something didn't feel right. What did Karyn do? He stood back up and looked around, feeling a little disoriented. Across from him was himself smiling.
"What the . . ." Jon said. His voice was different. It was Karyn's. He looked down to see his new body. He could feel two breast pushing against his bra and the strain it caused his shoulders. He held them in his hands; even through the thick sweater, he could feel how soft they were. He reached between his legs; it was gone.
"My, my," Jon's body said, opening his pants. "So this is what it feels like to be a boy."
"Karyn? Is that you?" Jon said.
"Of course," Karyn said, holding up a piece of paper. It read 'I wish Karyn and Jon would switch bodies.'
"That's cheating," Jon said.
"No it isn't," Karyn replied. "I just outsmarted you. Now let's see what your wish was." Jon felt his face go pale. Karyn flipped over the other piece of paper and started laughing uncontrollably.
