It's been 3 months since Jack has been transformed into a clown. All his transformations are complete, he is a clown in his mind and body. Adrian loves him and everyone he knows remembers him as a clown.
Adrian woke up in his giant queen size bed. He looked over, no Jace again. Ever since his literal clown of a boyfriend took the circus job, he's been having more and more shows to do. Adrian missed cuddling with Jace and waking up with him. He decided that when he gets home he would talk with him.
Four hours past when Adrian heard, "Adrian, I'm home." Jace called.
"Hey Jace, how was your show?"
"Great! Another successful one."
"Can I talk with you?"
"Yeah what's up?"
Adrian directed Jace to be couch where he started to talk.
"Listen, I'm happy for you with your job and you loving being a clown. But I barely see you anymore. You're always at the circus and I miss you and I'm scared that you're going to find someone better than me."
Jace moved closer to Adrian, he gave him a kiss on the head and said, "I would never Adri, I love you. But I agree I've been gone for a while. I'll talk to Bongo about giving me less shows to do."
"Thank you Jace. I love you."
Adrian kissed Jace and Jace told Adrian he'd go talk to Bongo right now.
Jace arrived at the circus and walked into Bongo's dressing room. Bongo sat there getting ready for the next performance.
"Jace! My favorite clown. What's up?!"
"Nothing much Boss. Listen I need to talk to you. I need to do less shows."
"Less shows? That's crazy talk. Why?"
"Adrian thinks it's overwhelming for a clown to do that many shows. Is this alright?"
Bongo looked at Jace. He was upset that a human was stopping a clown from the circus. He had to do something.
"That's fine. Listen Jace, I'm not feeling well to do tonight's show. Why don't you take the lead. I'm going to go out for a bit and get better."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Thank you Bongo."
Bongo gave Jace a slight nodded and left the dressing room.
Adrian sat on the couch reading, when he heard a knock at the door.
"One second!" He called out.
He opened the door and saw a clown standing at the door smiling.
"Bongo? What are you doing here."
"I just came to talk about Jace. May I come in?"
"Yeah, yeah come in."
Bongo followed Adrian to the couch.
"What's going on with Jace is he ok."
"Yes he's amazing actually. He just told me about your situation that you want him to do less shows."
"Yeah I'm sorry but he's never home and what's the point of dating if I barely see him."
"Understandable but what if I offer you a deal. Instead of him coming home to you, why don't yoy go home to him."
"I'm not following you."
"I'm saying be a clown with your boyfriend. Then you can both be together forever."
"No, I can't I have no experience."
"I can change that."
Bongo leaned in and gave Adrian a big kiss. Adrian pushed away and saw his skin turn creamy white. He raced to a mirror and saw his hair fall out on the top and curled on the side and become yellow. His pants turned yellow with rainbow polka dots, his shirt became blue and white striped. He wore a rainbow bow tie and his pants were held up with purple suspenders. Orange crosses were painted over his eyes, he grew high thick arching eyebrows. His nose plumped up and grew into a clown nose. His mouth formed a smile and red paint grew over it. New memories formed in his head of how to juggle, ride a unicycle, pull gags, and other clown tricks. He remembered leaving his family in clown city to find work in the real world. He walked back to Bongo on the couch and asked, "What time is it. We have a show to perform!"
Bongo sat there, proud of the clown he created and ready to show Jace his work.
