"I'm not sure I want to, just yet. But if he does get out again, I guess, snip snip. Do they let you watch?" Kat told the woman as she glanced back at Dan.
"Oh, we can't do that here, but we have a list of vets that can. We can insert the chip here though, and it's cheaper than having a vet do it."
"Having a chip put in would be perfect. I'd like to watch that."
"OK." the woman said. "This way." and she lead Dan and Kat into the main building and down a couple halls to a small room with a large stainless table in the middle and various cupboards and equipment around.
"Just wait here, and I'll get Dr. Waltshire. You're lucky that this is his day to come by the shelter. Bye Kat. Bye Danny. I don't want to see you back here." she said as she scratched behind Dan's ears and left him feeling content and wagging enthusiastically.
"Well, I guess it doesn't matter if you run off again. Then I won't be responsible for the castration, you will." and this sent Kat into a fit of laughter. Dan, on the other hand, just sulked, thinking how he would possibly ever get out of this.
Soon the doctor came in and quickly lifted Dan onto the table before he knew what was happening.
"Do you want the regular chip or the new tracking one? It's more expensive but it can be traced using GPS so you can always find him if he gets away." The doctor told Kat.
"Normally, I wouldn't spare any expense for Danny here, but I don't think he will be wandering off again, and I can always find him easy enough." she said as she gave Danny a smirk and a wink acknowledging that he was right from last night that she knew where he was and made sure he was treated well, or well tormented that is. "Will this hurt him much?" she then asked with a big smile.
"A little bit, maybe." he said while pulling out something that looked like a big power drill or nail gun. "I've never had it done to me so I can't really say." he joked back to Kat who laughed hardily although it was probably at the fact it would hurt rather than the joke.
Dan began to shiver and squirm. He had no idea how much pain it may be, and didn't want a chip. He wasn't really a dog, and they don't do this to people, he thought.
"You need to keep him still now." The doctor told Kat, and she raised the electric prod and gave Dan the full force. With a short yelp, Dan was still, almost immobilized like a tazer would do.
"But some people have had these inserted, haven't they?" Kat then asked seemingly so innocent.
"Oh, yes. I think the military does it, and you can get one for yourself or kids at the military surplus store down ..."
"AWWWLLLLLL OOOOOOOOOOOO!" Dan howled as the doctor shot the chip into his shoulder or neck or somewhere around there that now hurt like hell's heat of a branding iron.
"HE SEEMS TO HAVE TAKEN THAT QUITE WELL." The doctor yelled over Dan's continuing screams. "HE SHOULD QUIET DOWN IN A FEW MINUTES, BUT IT WILL PROBABLY BE SORE AND HURT IF ANYONE TOUCHES IT FOR A DAY."
Dan could barely think let alone walk as Kat lead him to the car. Kat had noticed that the shock had made Dan loose control and wet the entire table. She managed to push Dan's nose into it and berate him as a bad dog while his nose got his own urine scent splashed into it. It made him sick and almost throw up. He couldn't get the feeling out of his head that urine smelled so good.
"Now, Danny. You will be a good doggy now, won't you? We don't want you running off and having to have you balls whacked off now do we?" Kat laughed and tossed Dan into the back seat of her car. She was still chuckling as she drove off down the road.
