“We go outside to play, do you want to come?”, Judy said barging in again and wake him up.
“What do you play?” Jim said half sleep.
“Hide and seek.” Judy said as she closing in to his bed
“No, thanks”, Jim said and closed his eyes again.
“Come on Jim” Judy said and poke him.
“Who will be there?”, Jim asks.
“Alison, Madison, her sister Anna, some classmates of hers and some of mine, none of them know you. We will say that you are my 8-year-old cousin Jim.” Judy answers
“But, I shrunk to 9-year-old not 8”, Jim said confused.
“You have the size and the appearance of an 8-year-old not 9 as we saw when we measured you.”, Judy said.
“I just look younger than I really am, all of my life, because of my size”, Jim explained to his sister why he looked younger
“Maybe that’s true, but you look younger than 9”, Judy try to convince him.
“What it has to do with anything, for now I am 9 or I won’t come!”, Jim said.
“Ah, ok.”, Judy said
“All write, help me find something to and I…” before he finished the sentence she lifts him up to his feet.
“Don’t do that again!” Jim said serious
“Sorry, I just didn’t realize how light you are now Light you are”, Judy said
“I am not light…Just don’t do it again”, Jim said. Then they searched all of his clothes and found nothing.
“let’s search some of my old stuff” Judy said and take him to her wardrobe. They found some old clothes and shoes of hers, which weren’t looking girly. He tried then and fit him perfectly.
“Thankfully I didn’t give up the clothes that I wore at THE 1st GRADE!!” Judy said and laughed loudly.
“That’s it, I’m not coming” Jim said angry
“O, come on, you can’t hide in your room until this were off, if it ever does.”, Judy said with smile try to hold the laughter.
“Ok, let’s go” Jim said sad.
As soon as Jim and Judy open the door, which connect the house with the ward, and Jim saw the other kids asks Judy: “How many are there” with surprise.
“22, 12 of them are my classmates and 8 who are friends of Anna”, Judy answers
“Everyone meet my cousin Jim”, Judy said as they approached. Jim was more surprised to see that almost everyone was at least half an inch taller and some of them a head, like his sister. There were only two girls who was only 1 inch shorter, the most.
“Hello Jim”, the company said. Judy introduce everyone to Jim.
When she introduces Anna, see asks: “How old are you?”
“9” Jim said without thinking
“You are pretty small for a 4th grader. Are you sure?”, Anna said with question, looking down at him.
“I think I know my own age”, Jim said with a laughing tone.
“All write, lets choose who will be IT for the first round”, June said
All gathered and played rock, paper, seizers. Anna was IT. All of then hide. She found almost every one, except June, Jim and Alison. Then she found Alison. After 10 minutes of search she found June and Jim runs to the base, in order to set them ‘free’ and succeed. Every one cheer for him.
“He won because of his small statue”, Anna said angry because he beat her
“It has its advantages to be short but you are sore loser Anna”, Jim said and everyone laughed. They played another 4 round and Jim beat every IT, that includes Judy to, bat the other IT were better just laughed and were extremely cool about it.
After the game Jim and Judy went to their home and listen the beeping sound of Jim’s phone, mom called 2 hours ago. Jim called her and she told him that she will be there in 3 days. She arranged for babysitter.
