You lower the hand you'd raised to shield your eyes from the pocket's blazing light and feel your jaw drop as you take in the sight. A massive, golden desert spans before you, sand dunes rising and falling into the horizon, and off in the distance you make out the skyline of what appears to be a small town or city.
Something nudges your shoulder, startled, you spin around and see a camel with various bags and parcels tied to its back.
"Hey there, big guy," you say to the camel, and immediately realize something different about your voice. One, you don't sound like you at all, and two, even though you understood yourself perfectly clear, that was not English.
"What's going on here?" you ask out loud, putting your hands around your neck, immediately recoiling them upon feeling something bristly against your fingers.
"Woah..."
You rub your hands up and down your cheeks, you'd never been able to grow a beard before, but now it seemed to wrap around your entire chin.
You look down at your hands, they're considerably bigger and more calloused than before, and a rich, dark brown shade too. You push the long sleeves of the large, white robe your wearing and examine your arms. They're slim but muscular, and the same dark shade as your hands, black curly hairs scattered across them. You grope your body through the loose clothing, and you can feel small but taut muscles, and a thick bulge in between your legs. You lift up the robe, and see that a large pair of feet clad in sandals, and long, slim legs covered in tightly curled black hairs.
"This is unreal," you say. You're starting to like the sound of your new voice.
