I needed to know how Peluda's tale had ended,so ignoring my own problems
for a few minutes,I clicked
on the image of that long ago belly dancer.
There were various versions of her fate.
One version said the creature dragged the young Generals body to the tar pools and lay there waiting for several weeks before her new drives made her come out and seek the beating heart of the
next person on her list of humans who needed to feel her teeth
Nefertiti
or possibly Thutmose himself.
However by this time Thutmose had dipped arrows into the poisonous chalice
they'd found in the lair of the first creature.
Hence when the nine foot tall monster woman with gnarly lengthy legs,ar,s,a tail and beak
came ashore one night and stalked the Palace halls
a rain of arrows brought the monster the death it wished to inflict on others.
Others said that once free of the cursed tar pools,Peluda reverted to her human form.
But since she was now associated with a monster and the death
of a popular General, the terrified belly dancer quickly fled Egypt and headed to Carthage.
Another version of the tale said that though Peluda appeared to be human again
that was just bait to entice unwary travellors near her lair, where she could
reveal her true monstrous form or forms, and deal with the prey in a time and manner
of her own choosing.
So I looked at the three images at the bottom of the web page
1)Peluda as enticing human female lure
2)Peluda as seven foot tall monstrous woman
3)Peluda as demon snake-dragon with mop of white hair
