The saleslady swipes a card, and the door unlocks. She lets go of your hand, and you keep following her, your heels clicking on the concrete floor. You've noticed that your gait makes you sway your hips, quite a bit. You also notice that you can see everything in much better detail.
You were about to comment on it, but were cut off by the saleslady.
"Here you go, Crystal," She says, "Your new home for the next couple years."
She swipes her card, and pulls a USB cord from under the key card swipe towards you.
"I need you to plug this in to yourself. This will put you into the system, and will let you move freely around the building. It will also be your access to your charging room." She explained.
You opened the panel above your power indicator, and plugged the USB cord in.
"ANALYZING UNIT DATA" popped into the middle of your vision.
"INPUT UNIT NAME" replaced the previous text. Below this was a flashing line. You thought 'Crystal', and your new name replaced the line.
"ARE YOU CERTAIN YOU WANT THIS TO BE YOUR UNIT DESIGNATION" replaced the previous text. "YES" and "NO" options appeared below it. You selected "YES".
"WELCOME CRYSTAL. PLEASE REMOVE USB CORD NOW." flashed for a couple seconds, before disappearing.
You look down at your belly, and unplugged yourself, and looked at the saleslady, letting the cord retract on its own. The door opened all the way, and you could see inside your new charging room. Inside was a mold for you to lean into, with a charging plug set where the small of your back would be. Above that was a light, with a light switch. On either side, a display on the door read 'Crystal'. Besides that, there wasn't much else to it.
"Well, go ahead and sit down. I've got other stuff to go and do, so I need to be off now," The saleslady said, "By the way, since you'll basically be living here now, my name is Emma."
"Bye then, Emma. Thanks for helping me out, this has been an amazing experience." You said, thanking her.
"It's no problem, it's literally my job," She said, starting to walk away, "OH! By the way, when you first use the charging plug in your charging room, you'll be prompted to provide your email and phone number. I also forgot to mention you have a built-in phone. You can text and call people. Alright, now I have to go. Bye, Crystal, I'm sure we'll see each other again."
"Bye again, Emma." You said, waving goodbye.
You looked back at your charging room, and stood inside it before closing the door. You leaned back, and saw in the corner of your display that you were charging, and had 6 hours left until you were fully charged.
"Time to explore my features." You said to yourself, closing your eyes.
