Becky takes several deep breathes, reading the information below the "Enlargo" spell;
"The amount of growth experienced by the target depends on the magic ability of the caster. For example, a Novice caster may cause between 3-7 feet of proportional growth to occur..."
She assumed that she was a "Novice", considering this was her first experience with a magic book.
Becky considered for a moment.
Dad is already kinda tall, and I don't want to test this on myself just yet, so that leaves...
Becky's mother, Lucy Izland, stood at a petite 5'2, with a head of fiery red hair and striking blue eyes.
Due to her profession, she had a lean and toned body, giving her a rather beautiful appearance.
In terms of personality, she was very gentle with her daughter, always tucking her in at night and helping her with homework.
This is what Becky considered as she looked at the spell. Didn't she hear her mother say something about wanting to be taller? Having a longer reach for swimming? She thought she had.
Becky figured that she could do her mom a favor, and began to read the spell;
"Magic bookus, make-us..." she whispered "Enlargo Lucy."
A bright flash made Becky cover her eye's, before a translucent ball of pink energy emerged from the page.
It suddenly shot out of her open doorframe, passing across the hallway and right into her parents room.
Becky heard a surprised gasp followed by the solid smack of cardboard on wood.
Oh no...She quickly got up from her bed and ran into her parents bedroom. A box of clothing was on the floor and some of them had spilled out.
"Mom, are you ok?" Becky asked with concern
Lucy was dressed in a blue T-shirt, wearing grey sweatpants and dark flip-flops. She was sitting down on the bed with one hand in front of her face, looking very confused. She quickly shook her head and looked up at her daughter.
"Oh Hi sweetie, I think I'm fine. I was just moving these boxes around when I felt so dizzy all of a sudden. I think I just need some sleep." Her mother said with a tired smile, pushing a lock of red hair from her face.
"Oh...um, okay." Becky replied. She looked at her mother again and her eyes widened.
Lucy appeared to be letting off a soft pink glow, which seemed to give her an alien appearance.
