Twelve-year-old Carlos walked into his school as a big, 6-foot-5-inch kid, now towering over most of the kids in his sixth-grade class. It was just awesome walking into his classroom and totally being the BIGGEST guy in the entire class!
All the kids looked up to him, even the teacher. He was grinning from ear to ear as the classroom giant, and it felt amazing. He could reach everywhere and grab everything. He felt on top of the world, until the start of P.E. class.
When he walked into the gym, he found himself standing in front of Coach Johnson. Coach was 6-foot-8 inches tall, and he was all muscle.
So, as soon as Carlos walked up to his Coach and said hi to him, he was overcome by that all-too-familiar tingling sensation in his arms, his legs, and in his torso. Then it happened: He started to GROW!
His long arms and legs started to stretch out even further, growing thicker and longer at the same time with added muscle and bone. Carlos saw everything around him become shorter and smaller, including the coach! Within moments, he was standing 6-foot-10, about 2 inches taller than Coach and looking down at the big man!
“Uhh… how are you, Coach?” Carlos said shyly.
“Doing good, Big Guy! Now, go shoot some hoops, okay?” Coach Johnson said. “Practice your dunking skills!”
“Yes, Coach!” Carlos grinned, since dunking a basketball was easy now! He was so happy! Being this tall was great!
