More Univited Guests

added 6 years ago S O

I felt rather proud of my muscular form, especially compared to the small and waif-ish Runt, and grinned toothily as I showed off my best side. However, it was not to last.

"Compensating, eh? Typical human," Runt smirked, his lips and teeth covered with orange. "Don't worry, I won't tell -" Runt stopped mid-sentence, then looked towards the apartment door, a cheeto still in his hand. "Damn, already? Welp, good luck fella, was a hoot while it lasted!" Before I could react, Runt ran for the window, cheetos and all, squeezed out and leapt off the fire escape. I was still standing there, green as a brussel sprout and staring blankly, when my apartment door came flying across the room, torn clear off its hinges.

Two scowling muscular individuals in entirely white suits barged into my apartment, one making a beeline for the window where Runt had been an instant earlier.

"He slipped out again!" One of the persons yelled. I could not make out whether they were male or female, although they seemed masculine from their physique and bald heads. However, their faces had a distinct feminine quality, one slightly more so than the other.

"Looks like he brought a guest," the more feminine one replied, not bothering to speak to me or explain who was going to pay the landlord for the damages. In fact, the intruders seemed oddly unfazed at the sight of a huge orc in the middle of Manhattan. "What should we do with THAT?"

"Send it back where it came from, no use keeping it here," the masculine one growled as they headed for the apartment door. Before I could process what they were saying, the feminine one pointed at me.

"Bringing an orc here, really," the feminine one scowled.

"W-wait! I'm not - I'm not really a-" before I could finish my sentence, a bright flash blinded me. Blinking madly, I waved desperately to try to stop whatever onslaught these two crazy people were trying to perpetrate on me. Squinting, I realized it was still quite bright around me, much more so than my apartment usually was in the middle of the night. There was also an unfamiliar smell, the smell of...trees?

"Uh-oh," I gaped as my vision returned. No longer in my home, I was now standing in the middle of a forest glade in mid-afternoon, under trees which made Central Park look like a nursery.
