The IAC Fashion Show was a bit more than just a runway showing. It was also a chance to show temporary fur dyes (for Animalians) or artistic nude body paint (for humans). The extra security helped keep the models safe and the "weaned pups" (as Animalians understood perverts) away from the offical photographers, but there were a few surprises still.
---
One model, who was doing a nude body paint show, collapsed halfway back the runway. She was rushed to Horizon Light Hospital, and was determined to be suffering from a heroin overdose. But the strange thing was that there were no hypodermic needle scars anywhere on her arms and hands. Fortunately Simon, who had just completed part one of Drug Scent Recognition Training (DSRT), identified the heroin in the BODYPAINT that the model was wearing. The model was able to survive, but decided to become a horned chameleon Animalian, both for completing the detox, and for her own reasons.
APD, working together with the DEA, and FedEx, managed to determine where the heroin-tainted bodypaint came from, and where it was supposed to go. A massive drug bust/raid on an "abandoned" warehouse near the Nevada/Arizona border managed to shut down the #4 source of imported heroin, demonstrated the effectiveness of Animalian police officers, and was a PR coup for Animalia.
During the investigation, it was determined that one box of heroin-smuggling body paint ended up at the IAC by mistake. When one of the heroin traffickers tried to recover it, the security cameras was able to get important details about him and the vehicle he used. That information was passed to a Skye-Eye unit, who then followed him to the next link in the chain from 5000 feet up, then passed on visual clues to where the location was. Inputting the visual clues into a GPS system got the location, and succeeded on shutting down the drug trafficking ring.

During the investigation, the Fashion Show was able to continue with few problems. A majority of minor disruptions were people holding up "picket signs" with their contact information on them instead of what was usually on picket signs. While a few managed to get lucky (later) most were disappointed with no response.

A lot of the fashions shown were of the decorative cuts that helped keep Animalians cool. While they varied in size and shape, modesty was mostly preserved, sometimes barely, which would be vividly remembered by many a visitor.
Another thing that was showcased were accessories for Animalians. While some of them were larger rings and bracelets, others were brand new and unforeseen, such as horn, antler, and mane accessories.
There was also a private showing of intimate apparel from Miss Vivian's Intimacy Boutique, but that was only available to those who both purchased Animalia Premium Platinum Preorder Packages and were above the age of 21 (for humans) or were double dosed Animalians.

All in all, apart from the drug scare on the runway, the IAC Fashion Show was a great way to show Animalian fashions in both an alluring and tasteful way.
