When you come to, there only seems to be darkness around you. Only the howl of a wolf was heard.
No, not just one howl, many howls. How long were you asleep? And scratch that, how are you still alive?! Laying on the ground, you attempt to get up, only to feel the pain of your broken leg yet again. Crap! Not healed, surrounded by a pack of wolves, and stuck in the middle of who-knows-where!
The grass rustled as a wolf approached you slowly. You felt as if death was coming ever closer to you. Unable to move, you tightly shut your eyes, wishing to live. You could feel the wolf breathing by your right arm. Several howls joined together in the night skies, echoing to nowhere.
A sharp pain bites into your right hand. You opened your eyes in shock as you see that the wolf simply bit you. It didn't maul you, it didn't scratch you, it just bit you. You stare at the wolf in confusion and shock, sweat rolling down your cheek. The wolf didn't have any aggressive look in his eyes. It stared at you calmly, in anticipation, almost.
You grasped your right hand, blood slowly leaking off of it. You curse at the wolf, demanding him for answers. He stood there in silence. He just didn't care.
When you yelled at the wolf for the seemingly thousandth time, you noticed that your teeth are sharper. You screamed at the wolf, but it came out more as a growl rather than a scream. It was then you felt your skin starting to burn- No, it wasn't burning- ...You stared down at your right hand, where the wolf bit you. Sprouts of gray fur were growing out of it, eventually covering up your entire wound! The same was happening to your left hand. Your nails grew, becoming that of a wolf's. Your hands curled up, paws growing from what was once your palms.
The fur spread up your body, up to your chest, making you unbearably hot. You groaned, feeling the fur tear at your shirt and pants. You took on a digitigrade position, forcing you on all fours. Including your broken leg. The reforming going on was not helping the pain one bit, and made it even worse.
Your feet stretched out, as what happened to your hands happened to your feet. They shrunk, grew leathery paws, and grew sharp nails, forcing you to kick off your shoes as well. Your pants finally tore apart, making your skin feel much better than it originally did.
The fur spread up to your chest, and then, to your face. You panted as you felt your mouth stretching out, senses of smell gathering towards your nose. Your ears then sharpened, and shifted to the top of your forehead. You angrily howled at the wolf just watching this, calmly. But then, you felt as if you were forgetting something.
Why were you howling at this one wolf?
How did you get here?
Who are you?
You felt your spine expanding- A tail growing out of it. By then, you forgot who you originally were. ...It was like you were a newborn of sorts.
Your transformation was finally complete, and it felt like you forgot every second of it. You looked at yourself. You even forgot that you were originally a human in the first place.
The wolves ahead of you trotted, and you followed after them.
