When the dance ended, Tad saw his mom chaperoning and walked over to where she was, tapping her shoulder to get her attention. Jen felt the taps and turned around to find her son facing her. "Tad?" she asked. "Is something wrong?"
"No, not at all!" he said, smiling. "The dance is ending, and I wanted to let you know that Amy invited me to go to her house for a few hours. I wanted to let you know where I was so you wouldn't get worried." Jen smiled and kissed her son's cheek. "Thank you for letting me know where you're going. Have a good time, okay?"
"I will mom," Tad said before running back over to Amy. Jen watched as the two walked outside, hand in hand. Once they were gone, Jen turned back to everyone she was speaking to, specifically Claire. "So now that the dance has ended, we can go more in depth about your transformation."
Claire smiled. "Thank you so much for doing this for me," she said happily. "Ever since finding out I could become a werecat, I've been dying to find someone to transform me. Honestly, I don't care if I end up bisexual or even completely lesbian. As long as I get to be a werecat, I'm happy."
Jen couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. "You're pretty determined on this, I'll give you that. So now that the matter of 'how' is out of the way, it's time for the matter of 'when'. I'm pretty much booked with my search for a job during the day, so night might be best."
"What about tonight?" Claire suggested. "Your son is out of the house, correct? Isn't that easier for both of us?"
"Well...yes..." Jen said, thinking about what Claire suggested. "But I'm not too sure. I guess tonight would be best since Tad is out of the house, and since it's a Friday, the weekend starts tomorrow. I guess tonight could work."
"YES!" Claire exclaimed happily. "Oh thank you so much!"
Jen said goodbye to everyone else and walked outside with Claire behind her. Since the school wasn't too far away from where she and Tad lived, a little walking wouldn't hurt.
After a few minutes of walking, Jen and Claire arrived at where she and Tad were staying. She took her key out of her pocket and unlocked the door, gesturing for Claire to come inside. "You have a lovely home," Claire said, admiring the pictures on the wall.
"Thank you," Jen said. "Tad and I only recently finished unpacking. Please, make yourself at home while I get ready." Jen walked upstairs to her room while Claire sat down on the couch. From downstairs, Claire could hear the shuffling of Jen's footsteps as she got ready. After a few minutes, Claire heard the door open, and she heard Jen's voice call "Alright, come on up."
