You decide that it would probably be best if you pick something small. You can't entertain any big changes because it's hard for you to believe this is possible. You decide to switch eye color; Paul has blue eyes and you have brown ones. You focus on your friend's eye color, kiss the ring, and open your eyes.
Well, your vision seems the same. You see the same bedroom in front of you. You slide the ring off your finger and go to throw it out, a little disappointed you got taken in so easily. When you stand up, however, you feel something different under your clothes. Half scared and half excited, you walk carefully over to the mirror. You look up and confirm what you now know. Your eyes are definitely a dull blue instead of their usual brown. It looks natural on you, but you see something pretty unnatural when you slide your shirt off. All over your chest, shoulders, and arms, there is hair growing. It's a little darker than the hair on your head, but still your natural blonde color. You run your hands through it and it is curly and thick. You turn around, and peeking over your shoulder you see you have some back hair too. You're not sure what to make of this; if you throw a long sleeved shirt on, no one will know, but you're not sure what the guy you've been seeing for the last few weeks would think of this. You put your shirt back on and feel the hair rubbing up against it, a weird sensation.
You figure you should probably switch back before Paul notices. But when you close your eyes and imagine going back to your regular, fairly smooth self, nothing happens. With dread, you remember that the ring will only work once a day. Should you call Paul or just deal with all of this tomorrow?
