The sun rose on Sunday morning, and Jen woke to the sun shining in her face. She sat up in bed, stretching her still furry arms over her head. She then looked over in the bed to see Claire, still in her werecat form, sleeping next to her. Quietly, Jen got out of bed and went into her walk in closet, where she picked out her clothes for the day before going into the bathroom, where she changed back into a human and into her clothes. As she walked out of her bedroom, she couldn't help but glance over at Tad's bedroom, noticing that the bed was empty.
"Must've stayed the night at Amy's," Jen thought to herself. She quietly walked downstairs and began brewing her morning cup of coffee. As the coffee brewed, grabbed a pan out of the oven, along with a few eggs from the fridge to cook breakfast. As she was cooking, she heard Claire getting up out of bed and coming down the stairs.
"Morning Claire," Jen said jokingly as Claire groggily came down the stairs. Claire smiled and walked into the kitchen where Jen was. She took a whiff of the air before asking "Are you making breakfast?"
"I am," Jen said. "I figured you'd like to stay for breakfast, so I got up and started preparing some. Hope you like scrambled eggs."
"That's perfectly fine with me," Claire said. She walked over to the cabinets and began looking for plates. When she found them, she pulled out two and brought them over to where Jen was. When the eggs were finished, Jen began scooping them out of the pan with a spatula and putting them on the plates. She handed one to Claire before taking the pan and spatula to the sink. She then grabbed silverware for the two of them and brought her plate to the table where Claire was seated.
"So, did you have a nice sleep last night?" Jen asked politely.
"It was one of the best sleeps I've had in a long time," Claire said. "Especially because I knew that I would wake up and start my first day as a werecat. Plus, I was tired from all our 'activities' last night."
"I take it you enjoyed it much more than you though you would," Jen said, chuckling. Claire blushed and nodded. "It was...different. But it felt so good! Do you think....maybe....we could do that again sometime?"
Jen smiled and nodded. "Maybe not on a school/work night, but on weekends when my son is out of the house, I'd be happy to give you a call if you'd like."
Claire smiled. "That'd be nice."
