While the IAC was certainly a good thing for Animalia as a whole, like all good things, it must come to an end. That was what the Closing Ceremony was for.
Everyone gathered together in Claw Coliseum, and the Closing Ceremony began with Clara thanking everyone for coming, the athletes for showing fair play with each other, and for the spectators for showing tact and respect (after a fashion) to the athletes.
The second part was a theoretical sneak peek of what Animalia would be like in the future. It mainly showed what was often shown in movies or video gamesabout the future, but there was a lot more features that showed that Animalia had a hand in it, such as "greener" technology, and the biggest symbol was a cat Animalian holding hands with a human in a way that showed friendship.
The third part was the extinguishing of the IAC Brazier, and all of the lights dimming to show a single spotlight on a man done up as the Happy Mask Salesman as he appeared in Majora's Mask. He then said the line that he spoke in the game he appeared in: "Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. But the parting need not be for all time. It can only be as long or as short as one makes it." What followed were various songs about meetings and partings. The final song was 'Blowing in the Wind' sung by Canary Diamond and Aqua Marina, which symbolically represented the anxiety Animalia had about future acceptance.
All in all, it was a fitting end to the IAC. But it did promise that such a thing would happen next year, as it was promised, "Goodbye for the present, until our next meeting."
