You open your eyes slowly, still a bit dizzy from whatever they've done to you.
You look around the room trying to identify where you are. It looks like a futuristic lab, the walls are pure white, and the floor is built with shiny white tiles. The room is huge and there is nothing but the stretcher you are sitting now and a small locker in a corner. One of the walls is just an opaque black glass.
As you look down in order to place your feet on the floor, you finally realize what happened to you. You examine your new legs, but soon you notice that your whole body has changed. Your limbs are shorter, and your hands and feet a lot smaller. You figure your body has regressed into a kid somehow. You can't pin your new age down because you haven't seen your face yet, but you estimate you look now like a 10 years old kid.
But there is even more... You don't look like an ordinary kid. You keep looking carefully at your new body, moving and rotating your arms and hands slowly. Yes, you are definitively different from any kid your... age. You are extremely buff. Your whole body is filled up with thick bulging muscles, completely unbelievable for a young body like yours. It surely goes beyond human evolution.
"Good morning, Henry!" a loud voice seems to come from the speakers. You identify it quickly as your brother's.
"Dan! Is that you? Where I am? What happened to me?" you ask worried, forgetting completely about your new childish voice.
"Huh... Henry? D-do you k-know me...?" your brother sounds nervous.
"Of course I know you! Tell me... why do I look like a buff kid?" you start to get mad. You deserve answers.
There is a long silence, but you can still hear your brother and someone else whispering.
"Okay. We are going to tell you everything. But first, please take the special suit we have created exclusively for you. It's... well... weird to watch my big brother as a bare kid."
A special... suit? Nothing can sound weirder now. But you decide to walk to the locker. As soon as you pull the handle, you feel how you easily squash the steel.
"Yes, it worked!" you heard the second voice muttering.
"What the..." you say after realizing you completely deformed the handle without even trying to force it.
"Amazing, isn't it?" your brother says as you grab the suit carefully, still amazed by what you just have done right now. "Don it, please."
It's a very stretchy spandex-like tight fitting suit, it's mostly shiny black, but has red boots and gloves. Not bad, better than going around naked anyway. You quickly put it on. It's so tight that you feel it like a second skin, almost like being naked but fortunately covering your dignity.
"First of all, brother" Dan starts, "I m-must apologize. You've been part of this experiment, without even knowing anything about it. Sorry. But we knew you would never have accepted to be part of it." you can hear how he gulps.
"You... you had the perfect DNA. You probably already have put two and two together, but here it goes... Yes. You've turned into a super human. Your DNA has been completely altered to create a new form of human. Today, humanity has evolved after being halted for million of years. You are the proof. You've been reborn today as the first super human. You are almost invincible, stronger than everyone else in Earth..." you heard your brother's explanation amazed. "...heck, you probably can even lift a truck with a hand and ..."
You keep hearing carefully at your brother's. You can't deny you feel very powerful, despite this silly kid body you have now. But you also feel rage. Something is telling you this is a point of no return. You love this sensation of being almost immortal, but why didn't they ask you?
"And why do I look like a kid? This is humiliating..." you say determined.
"That's part of your new DNA. Indeed, you are still 43. You are supposed to age slowlier than normal humans. Don't tell me you don't like it! It's like having a second chance at childhood." he chuckles happily "You look cute, big bro!" he laughs.
"Don't ever say that...!" you shout, silencing your brother's laugh.
"Okay... C-calm down, b-bro..."
"You... you fucked my life up!" you shout. "Let me go out of this place! NOW!!!"
"Henry, p-please..."
You decide you don't need to hear your brother's excuses, he's your little brother after all. You run as fast as you can to the black glass, colliding, breaking it and hitting hit someone that was behind the glass. The hit has been so strong that the woman is sent flying very fast and dies instantly after crashing with the wall.
You gasp a bit, looking at the dead body, then you stare at your brother.
