At first you had thought it was some powerful dragon breathing fire onto the townsfolk but after taking a closer look it was simply a large parade float made out of a strange material you couldn't make out from this distance. The screams and cries you thought you had heard were simply cheers as you realized that some sort of festival was going on in the town.
Giving a sigh of relief as your fears were proven wrong, you sink back into the forest, making your way back to the temple.
Walking through the forest, your bare canine paws unaffected by the rough uneven ground as you found your way back home, entering through the open stone door frame.
Plopping your basket full of various wild berries and herbs on the stone floor, you sit down, resting against the cool stone walls.
You weren't physically tired, your demon body was one of endurance and strength. You could probably take on any human in a show of strength, not that you'd want to. The real problem was that you really didn't have anything to do now.
Your appearance is definently not going to let you go into any town without a dozen guards pulling their swords, any use of magic no matter how minor practically drained your of stamina no matter how fit your body was, and for the foreseeable future you have no choice but to eat off the local berries and occasionally some game that you might be able to catch. You didn't want to live a life like this but what on earth can you do?
Shaking your head, you give a sigh. Complaining wouldn't do anything about it, your mind said, but you were still frustrated.
You got up and decided to do some more cleaning around the ruins, maybe ten something interesting will happen then.
