As we all know theres a bit of a competition amongst the ladies-in-waiting
already in Castle Camelot for that job.
It was a plum job, with only 9 job opennings per year, and since
the King had forbidden the Princess
to open up the job slots for another three
years,technically,since
there were already 9 ladies-in-waiting milling around
those nine didn't want a 10 one to pop up and divide
the pie even more.
They had nothing against your species, plenty
of them had job experience dealing with cursed Princesses who'd
blundered in a dragons hoard to recover
some pretty piece of jewellry and ended up sprouting
dragon stuff as a result.
However the nine couldn't just tell Princess Alissa that
they wanted to keep the job benefits to their
exclusive clique
they all came marching down and asked Drake and the wizard if
there was
a possibility that during your
tf'g back and forth
Princess Alissa might catch your
curse?
Since Princess Alissa had already been cursed into a
dragon/dragoness/snake/white serpent to the
9 allowable times
number ten was sure to leave her a big mindless red
scaled egg laying feral western dragoness.
The Princess ,a hot head as ever
was about to argue that under new
Curse Management Policy rules
she was still allowed
1 or two more shots
but someone had tipped off the King and
he was having none of this Curse into a Scaly
stuff
revised curse management rules or not.
So when the King came,he came with 99 armed guards
who none too gently hauled off the Princess and those nine smirking
ladies-in-waiting
Then he had Drake marched off to the execution chamber and
the stunned human
had departed this mortal coil within ten minutes after the King had
arrived.
The hooded executioner came in holding the late Drakes head by its hair
the blood still dripping on the floor.
The King looked like he wanted to do something similar to your neck but
you, realizing you were now on your own
blurted out
"I'm a real dragon.I have a hoard north in
Fyre Mountains.
Let me go and I promise I'll return in 99 days with my hoard as
my bond not to go near your daughter again.
The King, who had gotten hungry and was crunching away on a apple
considered this and within minutes the guards had marched you to the ramparts for departure.
Of course there was the issue whether those wings of yours would
carry your aloft or you'd simply go splat on the rocks below.
Since the execution was still nearby, with that bloody axe of his,you took a chance and leapt
into the air
