That would be Elidia, the German speaking Princess
of Tile of course.
Sir Lancelot had recommended her to the King as a tenth lady in waiting to the
Princess Alisa, and said she was a old friend who often visited him up north.
Now the King knew something about Lancelots way with ladies
and often wondered if Lancelot was the real father
of Princess Alisa,
since the King was fairly certain he'd been off fighting Morgan LeFay
or Mordred at the time the glorious conception had to have occurred.
Unless Queen Gwenivere was doing
virgin births now,and the King
doubted that,even though he
had seen many wondrous things himself.
So the King had been about to reject
Lancelots suggestion when Lancelot
told him Elidia had once been a dragon-maiden her once.
Actually the first one,to be honest.
So since he had a need for dragons, the Royal Invitation was issued
to the Lady Elidia of Tile and she accepted to come over and have a cup of tea.
It would have taken a bit longer then 21 hours some her boat to sail into
the harbour,but the King
let you,Cilia,off the hook for
a while.
The King, and for that matter you, wanted
to know how this mysterious German lady who
lived on a island had come to be
turned into a dragon.
So on the appointed day and the appointed hour in sailed the
freighter with that months supply of trade goods from Tile.
The sailors lowered the gangplank and over it came the Lady Elidia,
along with a soggy wet Rodney, whom they'd picked up
a few miles offshore.
The King turned to you and whispered that Rodney seemed to be getting a bit feeble and old
lately.Normally
he should have been able to swim back to land without getting
swept out to sea like this.
However the Lady Elidia, all by herself, didn't look to pleased
to see Lancelot.
Apparently they weren't quite such good friends after all.
However when she saw the King, and then you,she started babbling
in german.
You went red in the cheeks because you seemed to understand german
( maybe it had something to do with
German engineering and your skills as a F/X engineering sorceress ?)
You'd just been telling you about the Kings tiny "Kinghood" and a lot of
other dirty stuff about the Kings performance
under the Royal Bedsheets.
Though Queen Gwenivere didn't understand german,it was clear
from the way she was fussing and fidgeting with
her gown that she got the drift
of what Elidia was saying.
The King just beamed and smiled away, totlly clueless
to the insults and compliments the Lady Elidia
was dishing out in equal measure.
