Jennifer was dismounting the school bus almost an hour later. Her friends didn't take the bus, so she entered the school to find them. They usually hung out at one of the girls' lockers. She passed her cheerleading rival Megan on the way to her own locker. The two exchanged a look of what some would call hatred, and Jen rolled her eyes as she passed her. She heard Megan mutter something under her breath but couldn't make out the words. Megan's two lackeys giggled at whatever she said.
Jennifer continued on to her locker where she found her own three cheerleading friends- Susan, Tracey, and Claire. The four of them did everything together, when they could.
"What's wrong?" Susan asked, noticing Jennifer's scowling face.
"That bitch Megan..." Jennifer never had to say more than that to her friends.
"Jeez, you two can't even look at each other without pissing the other off!" Claire said.
"I... need to go to the bathroom," Jennifer said. "Had no time this morning due an odd phone call- you girls will never believe this one."
The three of them followed Jennifer to the nearest bathroom and kicked out the two younger girls that were in there. Jennifer explained how Kyle had phoned her and tried to use the town curse, and the four of them had a good laugh.
"Kyle Perkins," Tracey said. "What a total loser, and to think he'd try something like the town curse."
"The big scary town curse," Claire said sarcastically.
Susan remained silent on the matter.
"Well, better do what I came in here for," Jennifer said, entering the stall.
The stalls of the bathrooms had no doors, thanks to some girls who smoked in there in previous years. The principal ordered them to be removed after failing to stop girls from hiding in the stalls to smoke and flushing the cigarette butts, causing major blockages and thousands of dollars needed in repairs.
Jennifer hiked her cheerleading skirt up.
"It fucking stinks in here," Tracey said. "I'll wait outside for you."
Claire and Susan followed Tracey out, leaving Jennifer alone in the bathroom. She pulled her panties down and sat on the toilet. Her stomach made a few weird noises before she threw up a little in her mouth, all liquid. She gagged and spat it out immediately. It tasted like piss.
"What the fuck?"Jennifer demanded.
Her voice sounded different, further away. Also, it sounded like she had two voices talking simultaneously. She felt something coming up in her throat again and stood up straight away. She turned around and bent over the toilet bowl to avoid throwing up on herself.
Her throat opened itself and a trickle of something came out of her mouth, dripping off of her tongue. It, too, tasted like piss. The trickle stopped momentarily as something else was making its way up Her throat. Something solid. Jennifer began to panick as the end of the solid thing pushed into her mouth and slid along her tongue towards her lips. She tried to spit it out straight away, but part of it was still down her throat. This thing, whatever she was vomiting, tasted worse than the liquid.
Finally, the other end of it left her throat and dropped from her mouth into the toilet. Jennifer hacked and spit a few times to try and get the taste out.
Then the first feeling returned and more of the liquid came out of her mouth. Jennifer was crying as she tasted piss again and started to panic as she heard the bathroom door open.
