Ty's Power

Revenge Starts

added 6 years ago S

Ty stepped through the wall of the front living room, catching a momentary glimpse of baseboard, insulation, and dry wall as he passed right through it. With a few steps he was face to face with Mark, who was sitting in his recliner still cradling the belt and snapping it repeatedly. From the steel cold look on his red angry face, Ty assumed it was meant for him.

Ty smirked, formed a fist, and drew his arm way back. With as much force as he could muster, he punched forward, and then remembered he was no longer solid matter. Too late, he flew forward right through Mark, the chair, and the floor and wound up tumbling into the basement, where he partially phased through the concrete and felt cold around his ankles.

"Okay." He said, startled. "We need to refine this a little."

Ty floated through the floor and returned to face Mark. He was now able to control his ability to phase through things very easily and could simply will himself not to pass through objects if he wanted. The freedom was intoxicating.

"When that little son of a bitch comes through that door..." Mark said threateningly, hearing June rattle dishes in the kitchen.

"You need to fucking relax." June offered, casually putting away plates. This was entirely normal behavior for her husband. "He's a dumb kid and he does dumb things. Beating the shit out of him isn't going to do anything but make him run away again."

"Shut the fuck up, woman!" Mark bellowed, steaming from the chair. "He's gonna fucking learn this time!"

"Oh, shut up, Mark." Ty interjected, well aware they couldn't hear him. "Let's see how tough you are when you're as small as a grain of sand."

Mark barely managed a squeak of sudden surprise as he dwindled, clothes and all, to a spec on the cushion of his favorite chair. Barely visible to the naked eye.

June leaned around the corner and stared down from the kitchen, aware of some kind of noise, startled as she saw Mark had vanished and the belt was sitting on the chair where he had been.

"M-Mark?" June called, confused. She looked around the living room quickly and saw her husband had simply vanished. Thinking he might have gone outside to cool off, she went back to the dishes, trying to put the nagging sense of something weird having happened out of her mind. She hadn't even heard him get up.
