Returning to the backyard, Irene checked her claws and felt so much comfortable with the many changes happening to her body. During the admiration, she felt soar on her feet and looked down to her sneakers with no socks. It what makes her comfortable. But now, she felt contorted in her shoes and decided to rest. “Perhaps I should get a rest for a moment. Guess my feet are sore for all that walking during grocery shopping.” she said as she approached the lazy chair that wasn’t attacked by her claws tryouts. Taking a quick seat, she pulls her sneakers off and exposed her completely normal feet, letting them rest of the cushion in front of her. Laying back, she used her upper arms to rest over her head, careful not to let the claws scratch the back of her head, while her lower arms rested on her stretched stomach. Closing her eyes, she started to rest and said with a sigh, “Oh yeah… That’s more like it…” She soon took a rest and decided that she deserves a long-term break.
As she had her eyes close, she was going into the next stage of her 5,000-year evolution that Jeff put in his Chronivac. As expected, her feet were the next to change. Since the start of her rise up the evolutionary ladder, her feet have never encountered any change since then. But now, it is time for her feet to make the changes. Her normal size toes started to tingle as the toenails did the same with the fingernails popping off and falling to the ground. Then there was some poking at the tips of these toes until the skin broke off. That was her own toe bones as they grew out of it and caused the skin to peal back and deteriorate along with the muscles and veins around it. Normally, Irene would fee pain from this, but instead, she felt pleasure in her evolutionary changes. But bones continued to grew and extend long as cartilage filled it up. The four toes in each foot slowly drew closer until they merged into two while the tinniest toe extended longer. They soon curved inward pointed at the end, becoming incredibly sharp in the process. Soon enough, her toes became just like her fingers, three sharp claws that can help her latch onto any surface on the walls, including concrete or steel. Yet Irene wasn’t bother as she was feeling that the changes were normal for her.
In the house, Jeff looked to the next change and could tell that she was becoming less and less human and more like a new form of creature that is surpassing her normal form by leaps and bounds. Still, it worries him as she started to look like a freak, a monster, but still has her human intellect and control. He just hopes the changes stop soon; otherwise it would be difficult in explaining mom’s evolved body. So he waited to see what tends to happen next.
