After the gunfire stopped, everyone in the Decker household relaxed. Tad, Jen, and Claire all went back to eating their breakfasts, and they continued talking as if nothing had ever happened. Once everyone had finished their breakfast, Tad began collecting their plates and silverware to wash them.
"Thank you sweetie," Jen said, kissing her son's cheek before he walked into the kitchen and began to wash the dishes.
While Tad was washing the dishes, Claire stood up and pushed her chair in before saying, "Well, I best be taking my leave now. Thank you for everything Jen. Thank you for transforming me, last night's fun, and this morning's breakfast."
Jen smiled. "It was nothing Claire," she said. "I'm just glad you had a good time."
Claire smiled and nodded. "I had a great time," she said. Jen then noticed that Claire was having a hard time standing still, as her legs were fidgeting as she stood in front of Jen.
"Is there...something else you want to tell me?" Jen asked, which earned a sigh from Claire.
"I know you're going through a lot right now, but...I'd love to see you again," Claire said. "I don't care if it's social or sexual. It'll be nice to talk with you again."
Jen couldn't help but crack a smile as she walked into the kitchen to grab something. She came back a few minutes later with a slip of paper in her hand. Jen handed the paper to Claire and said, "My phone number. If you ever want to get together, whether it be socially or sexually, give me a call and we'll work something out. It'd be nice to be with you again too."
Claire smiled in appreciation and tucked the slip of paper in her pants pocket. "Thank you Jen," she said.
