The next morning Dr.Harrison greeted Riley as she was released from her cell for the day. After taking her medication the doctor spoke,
"Now Riley lets go to my office for another session." The young, black haired woman advised.
The doctor sat behind her large oak desk and had Riley sit in a chair in front of it.
"Now from what I've observed is that your hallucinations have been getting better but you haven't been responding all that well to the medicine. For example: you had bit Dr.Fredrics the day prior, would you care to explain that?" The doctor asked in a soothing tone.
The girl remained silent, her eyes avoiding the doctor's gaze.
"Listen, I know you don't think that talking about will help but you need to help me understand why you did what you did." She persisted.
"...look I didn't do it, it was-" Riley stopped herself, it wasn't her who bit Dr.Fredricks, it was...the the voices, well one of them in particular: the one she named Jasper. She had a few voices that fought for control of her thoughts:
There was Vanessa, who was harsh and authoritative, always bossing Riley around. Then was Millie, she was quite and shy, and acted much younger than Riley herself. Finally there was Jasper, he was the dark, sadistic one that made her become violent and do stupid things like biting that doctor.
But there was also another, one that made all other voices seem good. It was evil and malevolent, it causes most of her hallucinations, it even scared the rest of the voices.
"It was Jasper. Riley I told you before: there not real, none of them are. You can't let these things control you." Dr.Harrison advised.
"Yea okay..." the girl quietly said.
After the session ended she was led into the rec area where other people around her age were gathered. Riley elected to sit in the corner by herself, thinking quietly and trying to ignore the voices that stirred in her head.
