"Harry, what...what the hell happened to you?!" Ethan choked out as he came to help his now obese neighbor up off the floor.
Harry wasn't sure what to say. He couldn't tell the truth..not yet... he didn't want Ethan to think he was some fat obsessed freak. Hell, the chronivac in the other room was probably a hard sell already, telling him about it might just make him think Harry is crazy. So he did the only thing he could think of. He lied.
"I...I have no idea. I woke up this morning, hungry, ate breakfast... and ever since, my weight's just been going up. A few pounds every couple of seconds. I-" he paused dramatically. "I think it stopped... it's been a few minutes since I grew."
Ethan nodded, understandingly, despite how confused he was.
"Come on, lets get you into a real seat." He said, letting Harry steady himself on his shoulder as he took him to the living room, plunking him down on the chair next to his computer, the chronivac app still open. Harry was actually a little sweaty from the effort. Ethan looked him up and down, trying to take stock of what happened to the normally okay physique that Harry had.
"I'm gonna go dig you up some clothes. You've probably got a robe or some stretchy sweats, right?" He asked, a little lost on how to help his now obese friend. Harry just nodded and pretended to be just as confused as Ethan. "Maybe? I...I'm pretty big now. I doubt even my biggest stuff is gonna fit, but it's worth a look."
Ethan nodded and headed towards Harry's bedroom. Harry in a moment of panic, turns to the computer.
