Ken was secretly a big fan of mythology and monsters, and saw an opportunity with the power of the book.
He drew out his pen and began to write,
"For a thousand years now, humans have lived side by side with a select set of races. Ages before, they were seen as monsters and strange creatures by humans, but after ages of trials and tribulations, they now live together in perfect harmony. The feathered harpies that fly through the air, the giants who loom over average people like towers, the seductive Nagas of the deserts and Merfolk of the seas, the neko cat people of Japan, the sasquatch native tribe of North America, the wolfmen, and.... that's it, actually. There are monster-human marriages, movies, and more. In fact, Ken has two monster siblings: A wolfman older brother and a mermaid little sister."
As Ken put his pen down, magic surged from the book and blasted out in a massive wave of energy, from it spawning the assortment of creatures that Ken had written about. Two energy balls formed in his very house spawning a hairy wolf faced guy in a jock jacket and a little red haired kid with a fishtail. The spell ended in a flash as every change was set. Ken got up and walked out of his room.
