best known for being the goddess of cats. Also a warrior goddess and a protector. As you can guess, worshiping has been slim lately, even the worshiping in spirit I got from those fixated on cat girls has shifted to them fixated on ponies! Epona won't stop bragging about it... NO YOU IDIOT, the GODDESS Epona, read a book! Ugh.
The point is, we decided to give this monotheism thing a try that's all the rage among so many humans. So we all agreed that we'd split up and each legally claim a timeline as ours. And you my lucky human, are in the timeline legally owned by Bastet. I used to be a great goddess... minor goddess?! The nerve of some humans! The point is, I was loved and worshiped, and so were my cats. These days, not so much.
And you just so happen to the humans who truly loves what I am in spirit to be chosen to be my first new worshiper. And to be my instrument to remold the humans of this timeline into my chosen people. It took a long time for the gods to agree to this so don't mess it up!
Don't worry, unless they're aiming to cause you trouble, or are a super rare spiritually aware type, all shall accept these changes as normal, they are sanctioned by the gods themselves after all.
