CYOTF (New)

A kindness at the cost of a mistake

added 6 years ago O Magic

With a deep sigh, puffing out a large icy cloud of mist, Issac said "Very well human, I will bring you to the exit of this crypt but no farther. I too was human but my time here has already changed me into what you see before you."

"Oh thank you! I will remember your kindness and sacrifice." Said the human gratefully, by now he seemed to be much more comfortable with your appearence but still maintained his distance.

The two both head back the way Issac had originally came once and thankfully had been lucky enough to avoid any monsters. As they left the cold depths of the darkness into the warm sunlit outdoors, at the entrance of the crypt Issac felt a tad bit uncomrtable in his new body. His icy form was not one suited to the sun and he felt it though he tried to ignore it for now.

"This is as far as I can go, I must resume my quest, be sure to avoid any corruption unlike myself. I will pray that you will manage to make it back to the kingdom safely." Issac tells the paladin.

"Oh yes I will do my best. Thank you once again, I also will pray that one day your own humanity will return to you." The human says.

Issac simply nods, the man clearly lacked the modern arcane knowledge that warriors such as Issac were taught at a basic level. No doubt that the kingdom would be unable to cure this level of corruption Issac had but perhaps something inside the crypt would?

The human said his goodbyes and headed off into the forest (Where unbeknownst to the both of them, he would later be ambushed by two corrupted dryads and would then be transformed into a corrupted sex ent).

Issac watched him go, and turning around he once more headed back into the crypt. Walking down, still cringing at the noise of his metallic feet clanging loudly as he walked.

As he continued his way down, he expected to see the first room he had encountered which was the dead dryad's garden but was then shocked as he a strong gust of wind that appeared from seemingly nowhere pushed him into a white chamber completely made out of a cloud like substance with the doors being made up of a darker cloud to signify them.

Issac stood still, his still human mind processing what was happening. In a rush he ran into the next room which like the other was quite the same. Same cloudy material.

Each time he reentered the crypt, the rooms would all rearrange themselves. He was back at square one now. Hewould have to find another way back to where he originally was. These thoughts rang aloud in Issac's mind. But he was not to be crushed. He would press on, no matter what further changes and corruptions would befall him. He will complete his quest, on his honor as a paladin of the kingdom.
