Jacob was a honest and good boy he would always listen and abide with his mother's rules and he had deep respect for her and he was thankful for what he had. This was very rare for a eight year old of his age. However when he went to his doctor to be checked for the 'weremom curse', his mother, Fiona, who was a hardworking woman and she had to keep it up to support her son and herself. They were of low income, but she would sacrifice her own pleasures for her son's well being. But when she heard that her son had contracted the curse she was worried for her son and his reaction. As for Jacob he was shocked and scared that he had the curse as much as he loved his mother he did not want to become her which he thought was outrageous and impossible. The doctor had explained that the curse would only occurs on a full moon after the boy's ninth birthday. The docto also informed then that the curse would end after the Jacob's ninteenth birthday or it could be made permanent if the boy has intercourse with a male as his mom. As Jacob absorbed this information, he firmly knew that he would not make his curse permanent and in fact he would very glad when it ended. His mother was also hoping that her son would not want to make his curse permanence the however she would still be happy with his decision either way as long as he was happy. The two left the doctor's office after Jacob's diagnosis and de-briefing. When they arrived home, Jacob's mother hugged him and told him that it was going to be okay and that being her wasn't that bad, Jacob knew this but he was still nervous and anxious for what was to come.
On the Saturday the day of Jacob's ninth birthday, Fiona got Jacob's birthday cake and presents out of the way normally she would invite his friends and have them play laser tag or the sort but this birthday was very different indeed. Fiona led Jacob to his room and had him use her spare pajamas so that he would not tear his normal pjs when he became her. Fiona as well tried to comfort her son and soothing him that it will be alright and she had to explain to him something the doctor told her only in private. He told her that Jacob would adopt her mannerisms and personality when he became her but he would still be Jacob just more like Fiona. So Fiona explained this to the nine year old boy, Jacob understood but it did not deter his anxiety. Finally when the moon was rising over the horizon. Fiona exited Jacob's room leaving him some privacy.
