Well actually the Wizards landlady
Slithorin the Scarlet
who had winked to Joe in another timeline and turned Joe into a
dragons egg in another.
A red scaled mighty dragoness who had invested her hoard in magical castles,wizards
palaces,dragons caves,cow laden farms and knucker holes.
Naturally to collect the rent from her various tenants on her vast magical real estate holdings
Slithorin spent just as much time
in human form then she did in her
natural scaly dragoness form.
So after she'd gone to the farmer to collect the months rent on the Farm,he'd
told her about the six Offworlders who'd escaped from his grasp.
He did however have her months rent
and so Slithorin had left
the Farmer unmolested.
The Wizard had been another matter,
He was a problem tenant always late on his rent
and constantly citing the
Landlord-Magical Tenants Act
as the excuse for continued rent arrears.
The Wizard Tenant from Hell
So when Slithorin had learned through the grapevine landlords and landladys
have amongst themselves that
6 adventurers were seeking her problem tenant
she of course took a interest
in their wanderings.
So after she'd collected her rent from the Farmer ( who had a good rating)
she'd flown towards the town and used her potions to make herself
human .
Before she rescued the six cows she'd chatted with the local landlords and made a few real estate swaps.
So it was the fellow who used to own the tavern now owned
a knuckers hole and Slithorin
now owned the town tavern.
So she quickly ushered the six would be cows to her new tavern
so she could get a claw on what she now owned
in the world of mundane un-magical humans.
Knowing Joe used to be a dragon
Slithorin quickly separated him from the other five
adventurers and put him up in the Master Suite of the
tavern.
