"How about the Stable Selection meal?" said Jamie as he looked over the menu. "Should have enough for both of us.
"Equine Egg Rolls? Pony Potatoes?" Carla replied, "I don't know, are they actually using horse meat?"
"Not at all!" their waitress, a redheaded girl who looked about 26, had arrived. "We just like to put themes on our meals! All our ingredients come straight from local farms too!" She beamed at the two of them. "I take it you two are interested in our stable selection? I definitely recommend it, it's my favorite. I'm Paige by the way."
"Well now that I know it's not anything weird, I'm game." said Carla.
"Sounds good to me too. We'll..." said Jamie, pausing as he turned to face Paige. Something seemed a little off about her appearance. Her he teeth looked large and blocky and nose was a little wide, with somewhat flared nostrils. Through her red hair he could faintly see the tips of her ears poking out. She was quite tall and solidly built, and from the angle he was sitting he thought there was a weird protrusion in the seat of her pants, just above her thick rear.
He quickly recovered, "We'll take that, pair it with whatever the recommended wine was."
"Excellent!" said their waitress, "I'll have your drinks and first courses out soon." She left to fill their order.
"Did something look weird about her to you?" Carla asked Jamie.
"Glad you noticed it too!" said Jamie, "She looks like she came from the stable herself!"
The couple laughed lightly between each other, sipping on some water as the waited for their meals.
In the kitchen, one of Paige's ears flicked away from the direction her patrons. "Hmmph." She said to herself, "They should be careful about jokes. With their meal choice they're gonna look a lot more like me soon, and maybe then some."
She laughed to herself, a sound not too dissimilar from a whinny, before getting back to work.
