Whatever the thing surrounding you is starts to slowly decrease in size, coming around to trap you inside. You feebly kick your legs and flail your arms, but you feel sluggish and tired inside the dragon. Your eyelids feel heavy and you just let yourself go limp.
You barely even notice as the thing closes around you completely, now being in complete darkness rather than a reddish tinted space. Whatever you're in feels wet and sticky, and as you halfheartedly put your hands out, you feel the thing you're trapped in has thick, solid walls. Suprisingly, you find yourself not worried about this one bit.
As the darkness and warmth around you begin weigh heavy upon your conciousness, you barely notice as you begin shrinking. You gradually get smaller and smaller, your clothes and all your body hair dissolving in the fluid you're trapped in. As you put your shrunken, malformed arms out again, you find they don't even come close to touching either side of your prison.
Soon, you find yourself no bigger than some sort of embryotic lump, just barely considered alive at this point. Your mind still feels fuzzy and clouded.
You stay very small for a long time before you begin to notice that you've started to grow bigger. As you feel your body begin to shift and grow, you are concerned that your body seems to be growing in all the wrong places. Sure, you're growing appendages where your legs and arms should be, but every now and then you feel a pull at your face area and a sharp tug and lengthening at your rear. Your spine doesn't seem like it's growing straight either, as you can't move your arms or legs up. After many days of pulling, squeezing, shifting, and two sharp pains on your back, you think your body is done morphing.
Then, rapidly over a few days, you begin to balloon in size. You go from double to triple to quadruple your size in a few days. Whatever has surrounded you has started to push hard against you, creating an uncomfortable situation. It appears at this rate that you'll outgrow your prison in no time at all.
Then, suddenly, your prison shifts and moves, and you feel it sliding out of something and into a semi-lighted place. You're still all wadded up and tangled in yourself, but at least you can sort of see out of your blurry eyes. You wait there for a few hours before you absentmindedly begin picking at the wall of your prison, which now seems very brittle. Indeed, a huge chunk of it falls away revealing a huge swaft of blue sky and a ray of light.
You emit some sort of pathetic, high-pitched hissing noise and pick apart the wall of your prison more until you can sufficently climb out. Moving your weak muscles, you manage to pull yourself forward and tumble out of the egg, rolling head over heels before landing in a sticky, wet lump at the foot of something huge. Lifting your weak neck, you manage to see a gigantic dragon, at least ten times your size, towering above you, looking down with a warm smile.
You emit the same high-pitched hissing noise and feel something moving on your back and at your rear. Looking behind you, you see the small body of a dragon hatchling, with red scales, a long, thick tail, and wings on your back. You look like a smaller, plumper version of the dragon next to you.
You try to remember where you came from and why the dragon looks so familiar...
