During the ride Nicole looked at her reflection in the mirror, her short dark hair was neatly combed to the left,
"It's okay, I missed having longer hair too. Don't worry, you'll get used to it." Lisa said.
The girl looked at the older woman, her red curly hair was in a short bob that was similar to the ones in the 1920s.
"No ma'am. My hair is regulation length, it doesn't concern me ma'am." She said dutifully.
The two arrived to a closed off highway close to the woods, it was the middle of the night and government cars were everywhere. Lisa led the recruit down the edge of the highway where a metal platform was set up to make the trek down the hill easier.
Nicole was briefed on the way there: a UFO had crashed and ended up in the nearby forest. The highway had been closed off and traffic redirected away from the site.
When they reached the bottom they headed towards a large black cube that was sunken in the ground. When she got closer a blinding light hit her face and then moved down her body,
*whistle* what a cutie! I swear the recruits are getting cuter every time!" A female voice rang out.
Nicole got a better look at the woman: she was in her mid 20s with short blonde hair spiked forward. She was wearing a light blue dress shirt tucked into high waisted, baggy jeans with brown work boots.
"Hi there! I'm Abigail Richards, but everyone calls me Gally. I'm in charge of most of the engineering involved with the alien tech we encounter." Gally introduced, shaking the new girl's hand.
"Well, what do we got?" Lisa asked briskly,
"It's definitely a UFO, looks like a big black box. We know it's some kind of ship because there's a rectangle shaped compartment we believe to be a pilot's seat." The blonde explained.
"Where's the pilot? Dead?" The redhead inquired,
"Nope, there's no trace of blood or anything. It's possible the occupant exited the ship and is somewhere in these woods." Gally hypothesized.
"Ok then. Recruit," Lisa began,
"Yes Ma'am!" Nicole stood at attention,
"We're looking for a possible, unknown organism. Keep your eyes peeled and stick close to me." Ordered the agent.
The girl replied with another, "yes ma'am!" And pulled out her SIG Saucer as well.
The two females used their flashlights to scan their surroundings as they made there way through the woods. Nicole had a little hard time walking the uneven terrain in her 3 inch heels but managed to keep a steady pace behind Lisa, who wore sensible buisness shoes with her pantsuit. The tan pantyhose the younger girl wore under her modest skirt gave her some comfort against the cool night breeze.
The two female agents continued deeper into the forest, Nicole slightly jumped at every breaking branch and rustling leaves.
"Okay, were far enough away from the others so turn off your torch and put on your Sunglasses(different ones from the aviators she left in the car), they have a nigh vision function." She commanded.
With their flash lights off and sunglasses on, night vision active, they searched the area.
"The Extraterrestrial was probably spooked by our search teams, it must have left to hide deeper into the forest, be ready for anything." Lisa said,
"Y-yes ma'am." Nicole quiet replied.
