Jacob continued walking, matching up to Kaitlyn to speak to her. Mid-stride, Jacob shifted her gait to a more feminine one as she made her way up to Kaitlyn.
"Listen, Kaitlyn, your donut of doom-" Jacob stopped suddenly as he entered a coughing fit. Kaitlyn looked on concerned. "Jenny, are you okay? Do you need a glass of water?"
Gripping at her throat, Jacob nodded. Kaitlyn ran off inside as Jacob began feeling lightheaded. "Jenny... Jenny. That doesn't sound right..." Jacob continued coughing as he tossed the name around his head, only stopping when Kaitlyn came back with a cup.
"Here you go, Jenny!" Jacob looked up, forgetting her mental battle over her name. "Oh— thanks, Kaitlyn!" Jenny greedily gulped down the glass, clearing her throat. She wiped her mouth with her hand, drying it off on her salmon overalls.
Kaitlyn nodded. "You alright after that fit? Did something get in your throat when you helped me dig?" Jenny looked at Kaitlyn for a moment, confused, before nodding, accepting what she said as sensible. "Maybe. I just feel a bit light-headed."
Kaitlyn nodded in return, smiling slightly. "Well, thank you for helping me with my digging anyway. You're always there for me, bestie."
Jenny smiled and nodded as she handed the glass back over to her best friend, taking off her scrunchie and redoing her ponytail as she spoke. "Of course! Why wouldn't I help my friend in her archeology digs?"
