Nicky looked out the window. "Here, come and take a look at this," she said to her sisters.
Olivia and Tiffany looked out with her. Olivia's eyes went wide. All the houses up and down the street looked like circus tents! Well, not exactly; she could tell they were made of board, brick, cardboard, and morter. But they did look like they had been designed to resemble circus tents.
A young clowngirl was riding down the street on a unicycle with a huge sack over her shoulders. Again and again she would reach into the sack pull out a newspaper, and throw it at the doors to the houses. Olivia wasn't sure how but she recognized her as Eugene, one of the paperboys for their block. But even so as she thought about her the more she came to think of her as Jeanie the papergirl.
Five more clowns exited the house and somhow manged to all fit themselves in this one little car that looked like it wouldn't hold anything larger than a fifth grader. Olivia couldn't be sure but thought they looked like their neighbors the Robinsons, even though what had been a family with a mother, a father, a daughter and two sons now had two mothers and three daughters in red, pink and blue dresses.
Olivia pulled out her phone and thumbed through her music library. All the female artists were still in there and recognizable, even if they had been clowned up and while she knew what male artist was which, they'd all been turned into clowngirls as well. She noticed the same thing about her posters.
"Wow!" Nicky said, transfixed on one of the posters. "I never thought clown ladies could be so hot!"
"You got that right, sis!"
Olivia agreed with her as she examined the pink and alibaster skinned laides for a second, the a thought into Olivia's head. "I'm going to check something." With that she leapt out the door and walked down the hallway and opened the door to Patrick's room.
He, well she, was awake and examining her new hot pink self in the mirror in a set of blue and green clown PJs.
"P...Patti?" Olivia asked somewhat nervously.
Patti turned around to see her. "Oh hey sis! I see it happened to you too." Patti had Magenta and White hair done up into a pair of candy-cane pigtails. Her eyes were set in white circles with thick crimson eyebrow painted on. She also had white lips, fingernails and a smattering of black freckles. Her nose was a dark pink. Olivia gave it a playful honk, which got both of them giggling.
"I think it happened to everyone."
"Cool!" Patti said.
"You're not upset by all this? Including becoming a girl."
Patti shrugged. "Why should I? I'm adorable and maybe Vicki will notice the new me at school!" She swooned at the thought of her sweetheart "Do YOU have a problem with this?"
"Well, um...no. Now that you think of it." They then heard the giggling from the hallway and Tiffany and Nicky fell into the room and piled on Olivia, knocking her over. "These two certainly got no problems with their new looks." She said, slightly flustered.
"Why should we!" Nicky said. "
We're adorable!" Tiffany continued.
"Not that you're not or nothin!" Nicky said as she got to her feet and hugged Patti.
Tiffany got to here feet, put her hands to her hips and looked around. "Nice place you got here, Patti." Like there Room, it had become more clowny. It had also gotten a lot more girly, with everything being white and pink with floral designs.
"Thank you!" Patti said.
"Mind you your old room was a rat's nest waiting to happen." Nicky said. Patti stuck out a white tongue in response.
"We'll anyway. Lets go find Mom and...well I guess Mom now." Olivia said. "And i'm kind of hungry."
