The next day was Johnny's day off. His wife Winona was away visiting her parents, leaving Johnny and his son Ryan.
Johnny Fishernon decided to keep his promise to spend some time with his son, so they went down to the beach to have some father-son time.
The two of them went paddling in the sea, and built sandcastles, and relaxed in the sun.
Later, They sat on the beach, staring out at the ocean. 'You know Ryan," Johnny said, "it would be nice to be a fish, just swimming carefree in the ocean; not having to worry about things, like clothes, money, anything. Just being able to swim carefree in the oceans all around the world.'
"I agree, Dad." Ryan said. "It'd be amazing to be a fish. I wish we could just turn into fish and go into the ocean."
From sharks and turtles to salmon and whales, he liked all the fish in the sea. And he was sure Ryan liked them too.
and, like his dad, Ryan always wondered what it'd be like to BE a fish, swimming around carefree in the water.
it was either part of a fish, or full fish.
Later, they went paddling again.
Soon, they had their picnic lunch, and had a long rest in the sunshine. Johnny stared out at the sea, looking longingly at the ocean ahead. his bare feet were tingling like mad. The scales on his neck were much shinier now, and there seemed to be some covering his back. More of his hair looked greener than brown.
Before long the hour had passed.
Johnny knew he couldn't pass up an opportunity to go swimming in the sea with his son, Ryan. So he and Ryan went to the dock where his boat was, then, they went below deck, and changed into their swim shorts.
then, when they was back on deck, they jumped into the water.
Johnny and Ryan swam in the safe area around their island home.
Johnny swam quite quickly in the water.
Then, Father and son swam to the dock, and heaved themselves up onto it. "Isn't it nice out here?" Johnny said to Ryan. "It is, dad." Ryan said. "I wish we could be fish so we could swim in the ocean all the time."
"Yeah." Johnny said. "it would be nice to be a fish. Just swimming carefree in the ocean; not having to worry about things, like clothes, money, anything. Just being able to swim carefree in the oceans all around the world."
