"Okay, if your little ring can really change a person's age then I want you to make my parents younger for let's say...five minutes." Kellie dared her best friend.
"Alright, I'll do just that. I wish Kellie's parents were younger for five minutes." Katie said to the ring.
Katie and Kellie then sneaked out of Kellie's bedroom to go see Kellie's parents. Lee and Maggie happened to be sitting on the couch in their pajamas watching television but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
"See, your 'magic ring' didn't do any...." Kellie was about to finish her sentence when she noticed the gray in her mother's hair started to disappear and become as bright as it was when she was younger. Her father's hair, which was near white regained its color again and the two of them shrunk a little in their clothes and now looked like they were in their mid-twenties.
"Oh, Maggie, I don't think you've ever looked more beautiful than now." Lee said to Maggie, the two of them unaware of what had just happened to them.
"Lee, you're going to make me blush." Maggie said as she and Lee leaned in and kissed each other passionately on the lips for a while before turning back into their normal ages.
Kellie had seen all the proof she needed to see and the two of them now quietly walked back to Kellie's room to talk more about the ring.
"So, what do you think?" Katie asked.
"It's...it's really something to take in all at once Kat, why don't we do something with it tomorrow though? I'd like to get some sleep on this." Kellie suggested.
"Okay. See you tomorrow." Katie said telling Kellie good night as she left.
Kellie still couldn't believe what Katie had shown her the previous night.
"Hey Kellie, so listen I thought maybe we could use the ring to..."
"Hold on. I just want to make a few rules between us." Kellie started.
"Okay, what are the rules?"
"One: we don't use the ring on our parents or your aunt at all. It was cool to see my parents younger last night, but that was it. Two: we don't use the ring on each other without the other's permission. And finally three: if the situation gets out of hand somehow, we use the ring to turn whoever we use it on back to normal. Deal?" Kellie asked holding out her hand.
"Deal." Katie said shaking Kellie's hand.
"So who should we use the ring on first then?"
