Jacob wanted to tell Emily what had happened, how he was Jacob and that the toroid had trapped him in Madison's body. He wanted to ask her for help, about what his body was doing now.
He wanted to do these things, but he couldn't.
Instead, he found his body moving faster than his mind could, assuming control of the task at hand got him. Worse yet, he could feel himself accepting this, and it felt natural.
"Hey girl! It's been too long since we talked. How's the date going?"
Instinctively, Jacob began playing with his hair. He heard a crackle over the phone as Emily giggled some. "I'm only in the car so far, but I think I'm enjoying it."
Jacob whined a bit, making a high pitched groan. "You're so lucky, Emily. Don't mess up this date, and call me after, alright?"
"Alright, Madison. Stay safe!"
Jacob hanged up the phone and stuffed it back into Madison's purse without thinking before everything crashed in on him.
