When the raccoon boys woke Alice Decrux from her sleep, she was delighted to hear that Melissa Jenkins got a good dose of her Love Potion #9 and would soon be on her way to becoming a were herself. She was a bit disappointed that none of the boys took advantage of Melissa, but being with her father was the next best thing. As soon as she sent the boys out to the backyard, her more rational thoughts went through her brain.
How long would it be before someone discovers she spiked the punch at the dance? How long would it take to trace the drug back to her? How soon would the police be knocking at her door to take her in again? Would she be charged with a Statute 1A violation? How likely would she be to get out of those charges?
Alice Decrux had been lucky so far to just barely skate on the right side of the law. The closest she came to losing her freedom was during the LePrue incident. Thanks to her lawyer, she was able to escape out of a Statute 1A violation by proving that her "victims" were all willing. She knew, however, that her luck wouldn't last forever. Twenty years ago, before the LePrue incident, she formulated a plan for when things got too hot. While the four raccoon boys, she put her plan into motion. She quickly packed all of her clothing and important stuff into a briefcase and lugged it out to her car. She also packed in some important papers, including her formula for Love Potion #9. As she got into her car, she made a single text to Mr. Bennet. "Please give my business to my daughter Meagan." With the text sent, she started the car and pulled away from her home. Her plan was rather simple. Go to Canada, where the town's laws couldn't touch her. Once there, stay there long enough, or at least out of town long enough for the statute of limitations to run out, and then come back to a new life. She had enough money and assets that she could live for years.
By the time Officer LePrue arrived at the Decrux house, Alice was well on the road out of town and heading north towards Canada.
