Ellie, Carrie, and Tina are all freshmen at the college down the street. They are also roommates who rent a 2-bedroom apartment. Ellie and Carrie are a couple, and Tina is a mutual friend who they couldn't afford rent without.
Ellie stands just shy of 6' tall, has flowing brown hair that reaches halfway down her back, and a skinny build. Her breasts are a modest B-cup, and she hopes to bloom further. She captured Carrie's heart during Junior (3rd) year of high school with her shining emerald eyes and eternally optimistic attitude. Ellie picked a Computer Science major, thinking she would be a natural at computers after growing up on internet culture. While she has some innate aptitude, she is having trouble grasping the more abstract concepts in the field.
Carrie exemplifies the principle of "opposites attract" with Ellie. A bit short at 5' 2" in height, she keeps her hair in a green mohawk tall enough to block Ellie's vision. Like Ellie, she has a fairly skinny build, but with a hint of muscle and D-cup breasts. When asking her friends how to describe her personality, they would tell you either "punk" or "polite", based on whether Carrie was in hearing distance. In spite of her in-your-face attitude and punkish outlook on life, Carrie has developed her talents as a painter, and is currently flourishing in a Painting major.
Tina has known both her roommates before they knew each other. Tina stands squarely between her friends at 5' 7" in height, but has an extra 30 pounds that she can never shed from her tummy, no matter how much she tries. Her blond hair is shoulder length, but usually kept in a ponytail. Her modest breasts measure up as Cs, similar to her grades. No idea what she wants to do for a career, she signed up for a Business degree, but isn't putting much effort into it.
They live together across the street from the strip mall, though they usually carpool in Carrie's beatup pickup truck.
The three of them entered Margo's through the sliding glass doors, bickering.
"Look, it's not my fault. You texted me while I was inside the cs building. You know I can't get texts in there." Ellie argued at Tina.
"So how come you were updating your Facebook status, huh? You had to see it." Tina's grasp of computing and communications in general is best described as a void, something that constantly irks Ellie, but she puts up with.
"Oh shut it. We're late and you both fouled up snacks. Hurry up and find something so we can get going." Carrie rolled her eyes and shooed her girlfriend and roommate through the doors and into the convenience store. "Really, why do we need to take.. what was it again? College Studies?"
Ellie agreed, "Talk about a stupid class name."
Tina paused inside and looked around before turning back to Carrie and Ellie, "Yeah. And I hate that it has mandatory study group. I mean... it's just an extra class session. At least I didn't forget to pick up the posterboard." Tina poked her tongue out at Carrie.
"Hey! That's... shut up!"
Just inside the store, at the checkout counter, a college-aged young woman attended the checkout line where a man was checking out. She watched the trio walk in, and waved to them while continuing to scan the man's purchases. "Welcome to Margo's. Let me know if there's anything I can help with."
The trio headed off into the convenience store to pick up supplies for the study group session.
