Nat looked on her shoulder to see a dirt coated glob of snot smeared on her shirt.
"That's just nasty..." Nat grimaced.
As she reached to wipe it off with a tissue, a hand with worn, grubby nails grabbed onto her wrist.
"Hey, just use your sleeve." a gruff voice said. She had dark blonde (or blonde, too dirty to tell) hair, brown eyes, and wore a stain and dirt coated t-shirt under dirty overalls.
"No way, sicko. And wash your hands!" Nat snapped in disgust.
"Why? They'd just get dirty again. Want this breakfast burrito I found in the parking lot?" A second girl asked. She was raven haired and as dirt coated as the blonde, with a swollen pimple right above her eyebrow. She wore black sweat with a matching hoodie.
"Blech! Do you even know where that's been?" Nat recoiled.
"Nope, but I know where it's going." the girl said as she ate the dirt encrusted morsel right in front of her.
"Ewwwwww..." Nat said.
"The dirt gives it flavor." A brunette with greasy hair replied, her hazel eyes a similar hue to the dozens of mustard stains on her outfit.
"You people are disgusting!!!" Nat yelled.
"Miss Nat, will you kindly keep it down!" the teacher yelled.
Nat slunk into her seat.
Lunch wasn't much better. Everyone sat far away from the table Nat was at.
Why? The dirty blonde Kat, the pimply black haired girl Sarah (Slobbah as the other students called her.), and the stained brunette with the yellow teeth called Lana.
These slobs were belching, farting, chewing like animals, sloppily licking their fingers, every rude thing you could do at a lunch table.
"Why am I sitting with you again?" Nat asked.
Lana swallowed a bite of her week old sub, and said, "You sat with us, and the school's got an unspoken code or something. It says if a person without a group, that's you, sits by a group, they join it."
"Come on Nat, we gotta stick together." Kat said.
The trio reached out their grime coated hands, but Nat had already horked her lunch down and left.
Nat looked at the marina stain on her shirt.
'I should wash it out... but maybe later...' Nat thought.
