Jade entered the abnormally long bus, this was her first year at Starlock school for sorcery.
Jade was African American with shoulder length black hair tied in a tight bun, orangish eyes and wearing the school's uniform: a white blouse tucked into a grey skirt with a grey blazer that had Starlock's insignia on the right breast, white high socks and black Marty Jane shoes and a black crossover tie.
Jade sat with her friend Skye, who wore the boy's uniform: a white dress shirt tucked into grey uniform shorts with a black belt, the same blazer as Jade with white high socks and black school shoes, and a black tie. Skye had longish white hair that was neatly combed, with purple eyes with the whites of his eyes being slightly grey.
Jade had something that made her different from others: when she was young she was bitten by a wolf in the blue woods (a magical place that very few have entered, as it is very hard to find), because of this she became a ware wolf, able to transform at will into a large wolf.
He best friend Skye was a Night Witch, a very rare form of witch that can access dark powers. He was the only other person to know about her lycanthropy.
Jade and Skye were both 15 and had just started high School at Starlock, where they would learn to become Mages.
The bus slowly began to fill with students, all wearing the same uniform as the two friends. Jade looked down at her lap and fittled with the hem of her skirt,
"Do you think there will be any others, you know...like me?" She asked slightly nervous,
"Probably not, if you're bitten by any creature in the Blue Woods you become a shifter. Very very few people have even seen those woods, let alone enter it." Skye replied, then he noticed how nervous she looked,
"Well, it's rare but...it could be possible. Don't worry though, I've got your back." The white haired boy said.
"Thanks Skye, you're a Night Witch so you know what it feels like to be...different." She said.
The supernatural vehicle drove at impossible speeds to Starlock's grounds, they were located in a remote mountain range. The school's buildings were like grand castles, lining the mountain range.
The girl noticed her friend shake slightly as the cold of the high altitude began to take the bus. Skye normally never wore shorts but the school's strict dress code prevented him from wearing anything longer than four inches above the knee during the warmer months, even though it never got very hot in the mountains. Jade's skirt stopped four inches above the knee as well but her lycanism gave her better resistance towards the cold.
Jade looked up at Skye's neatly combed and gelled hair that was immaculately parted to the left. He also never had his hair styled like that, but his mom wanted his hair nice for the first day. She herself usually had her raven locks out loose but she wanted to make a good impression.
The long bus neared the large school and the two friends would start their first year at Starlock.
