Rounding the corner Robby ran smack into Peter, Ty’s cousin.
“Hey Peter,” he said coolly with Ty’s stolen voice, “wasn’t expecting to see you here man.” The moment after he finished speaking he realized why Peter was here. He realized the flaw in his tactics. He tried to make Peter think he was the real Ty but Peter brushed the change aside.
“I know you, Robbie,” Peter said icily, “I must inform you that you cannot get away with stealing Ty’s life. I’ll give you a very clear cut choice, make it easy on yourself and reverse it…” and Peter’s voice dropped to an ominously low tone, “choose the hard way, whereby I would force you to return it.”
Robbie stood petrified, he could feel the power coursing from Peter, the invisible bonds holding him where he stood, without which his knees would be unable to stand on there own.
“How?” Robbie thought to himself. The change to his body he made sure that Ty couldn’t change him back. How could he change himself back? How could Peter, do so for that matter?
“Times up,” Peter said with no less coldness than before, “What’s you’re decision?”
“How, can I,” Robbie began but realized, his wish only made it impossible for ty to change back with his powers at that moment. It did not prevent him from reversing it later on.
“I’ll change back, and return Ty to the way he was before,” Robbie said trembling with a new fear. What would Ty do when he had his powers back. Taking a deep breath he made his wish in his mind. Wishing to have Ty change back with all his powers as they were before, and for himself to change back to the way he was before… Doing everything in his power to shield his thoughts from the ever searching probe of the supremely powerful Peter, Robbie ended the wish with an additional part of his own, to keep the powers he had permanently with no chance of having them removed.
Robbie could feel himself changing back his hair color, muscle size, voice and bones all seemed to lurch at once. Obviously, Peter was having a hand in because the changes were considerably more painful than the last time he remembered.
Strangely enough, he could sense that Peter knew that he had made sure he kept the powers, yet, Peter did not prevent it. He wondered if Peter had done something that would lessen the powers or make them go wrong when they were used. He had no time to think of such things.
Robbie heard an evil chuckling sound as Ty slowly appeared. Standing next to his cousin. Fear ripped through Robbie as the realization that something quite… unpleasant was in store for him….
“What do you want to do with him?” Ty asked Peter with a grin in his voice.
“It’s your life he stole Ty,” Peter remarked with just as much amusement, “so therefore you choose.”
