The October issue of Animalia Magazine was released on Friday the Thirteenth, and was known as Angels and Demons, both because of the upcoming Halloween, and the fact that the reason such a day was superstitious was because of the Fall of the Knights Templar on October 13, 1307. Because of that, there were a lot of explanations of superstitions and what the fact about them was.

The Cover of the Magazine showed Heather bound and gagged, with a chain being held supposedly by a holy warrior while an angel, represented by a male white dove Animalian. It also featured an interview with Tyra Wrex, the first Project Dinotopia volunteer. The main problem that this public reveal would have was fan fiction writers creating what they thought about what the Project would lead to, often leading to kaiju or mini-kaiju stories, on the main Animalia webpage. Not that this was a bad thing (and there was a subsection of the website many of them were sexual in nature, this would often lead to many creeps debating about the hourglass-to-muscle ratio in hundreds of troll comments.
Because of these, Chel had to release a public video on the website explaining both why she was uplifted, and of the plight of the wild Axotlotl, which was her original intent. Another website article explained about how large creatures couldn’t survive as kaijus, either due to the amount of oxygen in the air leading to eventual suffocation, or limbs being unable to support such immense weight. One polite post from a Horizon scientist read:
JosieHadley, while your suggestions and “help” for future projects are appreciated, if you’re going to deviate from canon, and introduce possible kaiju members of Animalia, you can’t expect us to back you. Both Project Thylacine And Project Cenozoic have to play out before we get into Project Dinotopia. So far Project Dinotopia only has had two test subjects, and we can’t do more until we have more data.

Another thing that was part of the Project Dinotopia Firsts article was theories on how the Project was going to unfold. One such theory was on how sauropods would top out at 13 feet tall due to the size and number of neck bones in sauropods averaging out with the seven in human necks. Another was how Dinotopians based off of flying reptiles like Pterodactyl would have wings on their backs, rather than have their wings as part of their arms, due to the fact that most birds were descended from dinosaurs.
There was also another post by both Sophie and Roland that said, while their parents had relented on waiting until they were 18 to become Animalians, they were still going to wait until school had let out for the summer to join.

There were also the standard amount of Halloween articles that were present in other articles, such as Animalian safe recipes, and information on so-called Halloween traditions, such as a wraith carrying around a red lantern was the origin of the jack-o-lanterns, and how the Celtic festival of the dead, Tsowen, was the origin of today’s Halloween. It also debunked several common myths about the Celts, such as the only people who were burned alive in the “wicker men” were criminals and certain kinds of “undesirables”, not innocent victims.

There were also plans on what this year’s AHE in Animalia would contain, as well as the previously announced return to Spookyville. There was also a feedback link to contact Animalia on ideas to include future holiday expositions.

All together, the October issue of Animalia Magazine was a good way to both explain to newly uplifted Animalians about Halloween, and to explain how the Animalia Virus simply CANNOT create Kaiju Animalians.
